Keyboard navigation
Every page in Atlas works with the keyboard alone. These are the shortcuts that matter most.
Atlas can be used end to end with the keyboard. Focus is always visible, and every icon button names its shortcut in its tooltip. Help lists every shortcut with the keys it has for you.
Everywhere
- Mod+K or / opens the command menu. It shows the keys for each section next to its name.
- C opens the Create menu. What you create on the page you are on comes first, so C then Enter starts it.
- G, then a letter, goes to a section: G H Home, G I Inbox, G M My Work, G P Projects, G F Finance and more. After G, a hint lists the letters; Esc cancels.
- ? opens help for the page you are on.
- Mod+J asks Aurora, when your organization has turned it on.
- Mod+. turns focus mode on and off.
- Esc closes the open menu, dialog or side peek.
Shortcuts never act while you type in a field, except the ones with Mod.
In lists and tables
- J and K, or the arrow keys, move between rows.
- Enter opens the focused record in the side peek.
- X selects the focused row. The bulk action bar appears with the actions every selected row allows.
- Home and End jump to the first and last row.
On boards
Focus a card and press Space to pick it up, the arrow keys to carry it to another column, Space to drop it, and Esc to put it back.
Make the keys your own
In Me, Keyboard shortcuts, choose Change next to a shortcut and press the new keys; for a sequence, press a letter and then a second key. Atlas refuses keys another shortcut already uses and keys that belong to your browser, your computer or a screen reader. Reset brings back the default. Turn off Keyboard shortcuts there to stop every shortcut without Mod, Ctrl or Alt.
In Me, Preferences, the Sidebar section hides the items you never use and puts the groups and items in your own order. Move one by dragging it, or focus its handle and press Space, the arrow keys, then Space again. Reset to role default brings back the starting layout.
