Onboarding

The steps to finish before you start, how each one is completed and who verifies it.

Onboarding lists what the organization needs before you start, with your progress: how many steps are verified. Steps marked Required before you start block the engagement until they pass.

Each step

A step shows its kind, whether it is required, how it is verified (automatically or by a reviewer) and any expiry. Its standing is To do, In review, Verified or Expired. Complete a To do or Expired step right in its row:

  • Document upload: a PDF or photo up to 25 MB. On a phone you can take the photo now.
  • Tax form: the form, your taxpayer identifier and, for foreign performers, withholding. The identifier is stored encrypted.
  • Electronic signature: sign under Documents; the step completes when the organization countersigns.
  • Acknowledgment: read the briefing, then acknowledge it.
  • Background check: the organization's screening provider emails you a secure link. Only the result is stored here.
  • Payout details: add them in Settings, Payout and tax.

The organization verifies each step next. Onboarding steps also appear on Home under Needs you.
