Canon

The XOS canon your organization works from, and the extensions your org adds to it.

The canon is the shared vocabulary of every project: departments, disciplines, categories and elements; the nine phases and their gates; the 26 record kinds; roles; jurisdictions with their permit rules; and metrics. It loads with XOS and is read-only.

Browse

Each canon page lists its entries with their definitions, grouped by their parent (disciplines by department, elements by category). Hover over or focus a phase or gate chip anywhere in Atlas to see its definition.

Extend

Org Extensions add values your organization needs beyond the canon. Someone other than the requester approves each extension.

The Standard Library

The XOS Standard Library holds the emergency codes, SOPs, verbiage, radio plan, vendor classes and their entitlements, enumerations, Roles Library, labor rates and document library that come with XOS. Each organization gets its own copy to edit: a new organization receives it when it is created, and an organization created earlier adopts it with Adopt Standard Library in Settings, Canon Extensions. Adopting copies only what your organization does not hold yet, so nothing you edited or removed changes.
